Match Report: From the Irish Times (Thanks to Steve Bell for Report)

"Dundalk, with a strengthened side, put up a good performance in drawing 2-2 with Leeds United at Dundalk yesterday. the home side included the Irish international goalkeeper, Kelly (Southampton), Cunningham, Malone and Colfer (Shelbourne) and Glynn (Drumcondra)."

"Dundalk led 1-0 at half-time, Dunn, the Leeds left-full, kicking through his own goal. Leeds equalised a minute after the interval, Miller scoring from close range, and in thirty minutes Vickers scored with a good individual effort."

"Two minutes later, however, Dundalk's seventeen-year-old forward, McParland, scored the best goal of the game, from twenty yards to equalise."
